It is probably best to consider the type of business that you operate and/or the type of clientele you cater to. There are so many types of incense to choose from these days, in the form of sticks, cones, beads, chips or candles. Aromas identified as Indian, African, Chinese, Japanese, Middle Eastern, Earthy, Fruity, Floral, Element-inspired and Cologne scented are just some of what is available. For a higher price you can even get, if you want to go biblical, frankincense and myrrh. If it is your plan to sell incense, you might pay attention to decorating and buying trends. If you are using it to create an atmosphere, you might want to find a scent that compliments the decor or theme of your space.

When you display these items make sure you keep them so they are not just a jumbled up mess. I have a friend here that has them in her store and everytime I walk out of there feeling like I've been tied up and shot at.
Keep the fruit with the fruit, flowered with the flowered, relaxation with relaxation, and etc.
I love the stick ones and RAIN is the best, very soft and easy to smell. I'm into India types also....I love the relaxtion smells.
Have fun, feature a certain type every week and have it burning in the store.

You'd probably be best off with stick or cone incense (the other option being gum incense which is harder to use). I realize that doesn't narrow it down much but I am more familiar with gum incense.
