well dreyfus did have a boat. it was in the scene where dreyfus and chief brody found the old fishermans boat that had the old fisher man pop out the bottom and scared ole dreyfus so he dropped the sharks tooth...remember?
as to the type of boat..i dont know. it was pretty big to be a comercially available boat though.

Dryfus didn't have a boat in Jaws. The boat that they were on was the Orca, which belonged to Quint, played by Robert Shaw.
