I never keep my hopes up anymore. It hurts me more to see my hopes get torn apart than to keep my hopes down and see it happen as you thought it wouldn't. That's much better.

By looking at others who've made it. If you have certain goal- whatever it is- just look at people who did it. People who reached there. Most probably they will not have better qualities or more abilities than you, perhaps even less. Don't under-estimate yourself and look at others who are 'there'. What did they do to get there? Surely it's simple, follow their steps. That will keep your hopes high, and always always have a target, no matter what. Otherwise you'll be walking towards a dead end. Take action on ur goals, let people close to you and good music, sights and friend inspire you.

I try and see if there is a good side to whatever is the problem of the moment. Sometimes that is hard but there is always something , even microscopic but with that I start and soon I see a light at the end of the tunnel. Also I am not a religious nut but I am spiritual and that gives me hope.

I keep mine up by being an eternal optimist. And, with the fervent belief that everything that happens, happens for a reason. I don't think there's anything controlling my destiny, but there are definitely forces that I don't understand that influence them.

The belief that "everything that happens to me makes me who I am today" gives me great comfort, and keeps my hopes alive even when devastating things happen in my life.

I seldom let me 'hopes' get up.... because that usually means I am expecting something from someone and will be totally (unjustifiably dissapointed) if it doesn't happen that way. So everday I just try to concentrate on the positive things and I stay pretty upbeat :)

have a good night

Remembering the good things in life.
Being around positive friends.
Looking at the goals I have achieved, and from that find the strength to keep believing that there is still more to experience and achieve.
Don't give up hope,it is sometimes all we have to get us through. :)

when the going gets tough, you have to stick to your gameplan, can be hard at times, and those are the times you call on your own inner strength to get through it.
there are times for all of us when we are walking on a treadmill getting nowhere or so it seems, but it does stop, and you do progress.
just keep going. you'll get there.

by remembering that as a creation of god, i am loved so much that even when i let him down. i will be forgiven. when we allow ourselves to believe in only the bad things in our lives, we will never rise above them. the first thing to do is make up our minds that no matter what happens, something good can come from it. i truly believe that there is no scenario that will not apply. try it and remember that you were created special and god loves you and so do i.
