Hard to say with so little information. Best thing to do is to visit a Family Physician. It may be a herniated disk in your spinal column but there are many other things that can cause that same kind of pain. Your Doctor will be able to tell you exactly what it is.

Carefully try stretching exercises...In a bath of warm water lay on your back and slowly reach down to your knee and lift your knee up to your chest hold for a count to ten, then gently stetch your leg strait. reach over to your other knee and repeat to your chest. again slowly staighten your leg. Repeat this exercise 3 times for each leg. Holding your knee to you chest for a count of 10 each time. After each leg has been streched , then pull both knees to your chest 3 seperate times , holding to a count of 10 each time. remember to slowly lower your leggs each time. I've found that taking an aspirine 10 min. before the bath to be helpfull. For me the results were most noticable the next day. And if I repeated this exercise each day , that most of my leg pain would go away. My DR. told me this was a Williamson exercise.
