your question is worded oddly, do you mean in the actual toilet?! that would be quite impossible. Near the toilet, I'd say go for it...just hope you have some curtains, or no neighbors. The sunlight theory won't work. You'll still have to clean :(

It's not likely to serve as a disinfectant. Window glass blocks most of the ultraviolet light.
It's common for a bathroom to have a window, though: the window should probably be frosted or have a rough surface so that it allows light in; when the window is closed, it shouldn't allow anyone outside to see people in the bathroom.
Having good ventilation in the bathroom can help reduce humidity, avoid mold, etc.
A downside of having a window is that it reduces the usable wall space. For small bathrooms, that's important, since you need a place for a towel rack, a cabinet, maybe some shelves.

Sunlight through windows will brighten your bathroom. To still keep it private, try the thick marble-ized glass. All the sun rays will come through but no one will be able to see through, and you also won't have to worry about covering the windows with curtains.

i think its nice to have windows in the toilet IF YOUR HOUSE IS OVERLOOKING a beach or a lake type of thing in an secluded area
