I'm 38 years old. When I turned around 30 I noticed my periods will start out spotting, then would be heavy or light for about 2-3 days. Around 331/2 years old I noticed a hot feeling through my body. But it only went on for a couple of months and then it went away for a long time. One thing I always noticed though was that my periods were very regular. But a couple of months ago I've noticed mar, was 24 days. Then april was 28, then may was 28 Then June was 24 again. And I wake up in a sweat My mom was very young when she went through and her mom also. I ask my mom questions but she's 70 years old and doesn't really remember it. I guess what I'm asking if anyone has gone through this recently very young. Am I nearing the end? And one thing I'm very afraid of is will this age me drastically. Because they say your skin dries out and you lose collagen. I'm really scared. Please if as many people can tell me their experiences and what they've done. It would really be helpful

I went through the exact same thing when I was 37. At 40, my period completely stopped. Hot flashes bothered me for almost a year, my doctor put me on birth control patch to regulate it. Big mistake! I should have let it take its own course because when I took myself off this patch, the hot flashes came tenfold! I did not want to be on it too long because of horrible side effects. I read a lot about menopause and checked home remedies and finally came across the wonder remedy of organic apple cider vinegar. I started taking it 3 times daily (I'm still on it) and the results were slow but the hot flashes do not bother me anymore. It took a good three months to really kick in but the wait was worth it. Try it.

you could be but i do not think it changes your appearance very much.. i had a complete hysterectomy at 30 and i went through the change..i had hot flashes and was irritable.. then i would have periods where i was cold..you seem to be real moody...but i have not noticed any other changes except for the fact that i have gained some weight and i try desperately to lose.. the only way to know for sure is to go to the doctor and find out.. you may just be going through some hormonal changes.. i do not think i would worry about it to much until you see your doctor...

I was 35 when i started menopause, the night sweats was the worst, you are not nearing the end, you should see a Dr and they will do blood work to see if you are peri-menopausal and if so you will take hormone pill's that will help you through this. Honey life is still good, see the Dr

Sounds like some of my symptoms too. So I would say yes, or at least perimenopause. If you go on estrogen therapy, it will help your skin, as far as not drying out so bad, or losing collagen.

At your age you are going thru perimenopause, not menopause. I'm going thru it now. Please see my website for more info on perimenopause.
