I've heard a lot of good things about FF, and I really want to try it. But I know there are about 12 versions out, so would it be okay if I were to just play the most recent ones? Or would it be too confusing (Storyline, etc.)?

Also, how hard is the game? I'm not all too into video games (I play them, but I'm not as savvy as some people.), so would it be difficult for me to play it?

Well, I've been playing FFXI Online for roughly 2 years. And I have never played any other one, lol. Yeah, some of the stuff ties in with the storylines of the previous ones, but it's still a rock-as* game. And the online one isn't too difficult, after you learn what the buttons do, you'd be fine.

You can just pick, the only one I don't suggest is FFX-2 since its an actual sequel to FFX, now if your going for a good game, and don't care about graphics I suggest FF7 or FF8 they have good stories but the graphics are rather crappy since its been awhile. Most people who've played the earlier Final Fantasy games will tell you that the newer ones (FFX and up) are good in graphic but the stories are not that great, but thats because after twelve something new is hard. Most FF games you don't need to be too savvy to get through, so that shouldn't be a problem. Have Fun

i'm playing the perfect delusion FFXIV beta today, genuinely. very last delusion video games are numbered a million-14 yet they don't look to be depending on one yet another, the in straight forward words aspect they have in consumer-friendly are the titles, and some consumer-friendly elements, yet each is its personal unique interest that stands alongside. playing one gained't help you with any of the others besides understanding a number of the wide-spread monster varieties. notwithstanding, the single in beta modern day an mmog (like international of Warcraft), this is no longer a interest that you'll beat. very last delusion a million-10, 12, and 13 are all video games which have a series tale, set characters, with a defined beginning and end, that you play by on my own. very last delusion 11 and 14 are multiplayer on line video games the position you play with thousands of different genuine human beings, and this is open-ended. at present 14 is being released for workstation on the end of the month, with the PS3 version popping out next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, and a 360 version your time after that.

Not counting FFX and FFX-2, every single FF has a completely different story line, so you really don't have to worry, I started playing at #7 and like I said, not counting FFX and FFX-2, all of them have different storylines.

Also if you have a GBA, don't worry, they will be relaseing all the old ones soon :)

Of course you can, each one is a completely different story so you wouldn't miss anything.
And at the beginning they teach you everything you need to know in the game.
