It's great to keep in touch with friends NOT meet new ones. I'm on Myspace and all of my friends are people I know personally through school, work or whatever, or also bands and promotional pages for movies and stuff. I never rely on it to meet new people because there's no way of telling who's on the other end. The world is a crazy place nowadays and we need to be careful. Just watch what type of personal info you post on there and be cautious of random people messaging you. But if you are planning on using it just to keep in touch with friends while everyone's split up at different colleges and stuff, then it's great! You have everyone in one place, you can e-mail or IM them, and you can also post jokes and forwards as "bulletins" so people can open whatever ones they wish without getting annoyed with forwards filling up their inboxes and stuff. You can also personalize and customize it sooooo much so it can really reflect "YOU."
(If you don't have a MySpace account already and need suggestions on setting it up, feel free to contact me! I'm the hugest MySpace addict ever and know how to do just about everything, get/use every HTML code available, and more!)

Both. It can be good to chat with friends, but if you reveal personal info people can hack you. Sometimes when you check the Music section of the site, there are downloads by certain artists. Some artist pages have numerous pop-ups and Spyware. So I advise you, if you ever visit that place, be careful.

I was skeptical joining myspace, thinking it was for teens to hook up with other teens, but I joined after my brother moved away, and now I love it. It's a fun way to keep in touch with friends, and check out new music.
It does get a bad reputation in the media because of stupid videos that are posted, or because parents aren't aware of their children are on there being stalked by predators.
You can set up your profile with pictures and a song and a background, then once you add "friends" you can comment on each other's pages.
They do have security, you can set your page to friends only.
You can blog...
I just love it.

Its a place where you make a profile and then others can view it. And there you can make friends. But some people have used it to track down people and then go rape them. If you are making a profile i suggest you not to put to much info enough for others to find you. Be safe!

hi zeppelin_roses, i'm happy you're happy, right that's the information, the universe is slightly complicated. From the attitude of each and all of the entities below us interior the foodstuff chain, you realize those, those that have not got here upon hearth or can perform equipment efficiently; they're already residing in hell. Q) What have they completed to be in this place? A) They did no longer conform, dolphins are unlikely to discover hearth of their cutting-edge habitats and inspite of the reality that they are in a place to stun their prey employing actually telepathy they're pests that consume our foodstuff and as a result ought to die. My perspectives, you're getting to understand, are slightly debatable even though i visit persevere and point out the gateways: One ends up in ending up on cabinets in a food market. One to starting to be dinosaur feed (see below) One to larger training and getting to understand masking such areas as; 'why heaven is crammed with individuals and is amazingly such as the airport in Basra, normally attacked via disgruntled militias, whilst caught (see above).' I pronounced those gateways be signposted in suitable languages and protected to sidestep issues even though the committee that runs 'Heaven' could be slow and ineffective via forms and disagreements. the education curve states that the two existence and non existence are unfair, religions don't have a clue and in case you desire 'convenience' purchase a puppy, do no longer persist with a faith, except it is composed of analyzing (with a pinch of salt) each and all of the Dune books.

Me, personally I love it. But it depends on who you are. You can put your profile on privite. Or you can leave it open. My friend has hers on privite and you have to know her e-mail adress or her last name to request her as a friend. But im on it every day.
