This question is too subjective...I 've watched NBA for almost 27 years, and have been fortunate enough to watch some of the greatest players to ever play. When I was a teen I though Kareem was the best. In the 80s...Magic or Bird. Older generations say Wilt or Russell. To the ESPN highlight generation...Jordan. To me, it's really difficult to say who's the best. There are too many things to factor in; era played in, position played, championships won, stats, etc...Based on what I've seen the past 30 years, I'd have to say Magic or Kareem. Magic and Kareem revolutionized their position respectively. The popular opinion is Jordan...although I disagree simply because there have been other players similar to Jordan. There has been no one in the last 30+ years to compare to Magic (please don't do a disservice to Lebron). I watched Magic. It seems every draft there's always a next Magic Johnson. There's a greater likelyhood that we'll see another Jordan first. Score 30+ pts/gm and win 2 or 3 titles (maybe Wade, Lebron, Kobe, etc...) The likelyhood of another big point guard scoring 19.5 p/g, 12 ast. and 7+ reb. is doubtful when considering that the current assist leader dishes out around 10 assists per game.

Michael Jordan since he can fly and shoot in offense and can defend at the other end of the floor. He has won many championships and was a versatile player.
