I use the Report Abuse button quite often. As you said, this is not an adult only site, and therefore it's content should be monitored, at least somewhat.
Now I'll report you for this question.
Just kidding!

I have once. It was just one of those things enough was enough. I really figured it was a kid by the wording of the question, but it was nasty and offensive. Knowing that there are kids on here I reported him.
I agree with you if I wanted to hear the nasty crap I would just go to nearly any other chat room on the net. That is the main reason I like answers because things aren't so raunchy.
If you don't lie something report it! It is your prerogative.

I've reported a couple ... but I do believe some folks are as fanatical reporting as others are just answering questions. It would be interesting if Yahoo had a Abuse Reported tab under the persons bio. It would have to be just a number to guard against retaliation.

I believe abuse should be reported for the correct reason. Yes I have reported abuse.
For those who are unsure what is or is not acceptable, on the "What is your answer?" page, right next to the "Your answer" box appears the the statement "No spam please! When in doubt, please refer to our Community Guidelines".
I take special offense to "a", "b" & "c", under content & usage.
This is a community, and just as things are not acceptable in the physical arena of your world, the same holds here. People have to be accountable for their actions.

I have used the report abuse button. That person was advertisting websites. Which is against the COD (Code of Conduct).
This person didn't even ask a question. They just posted like seven or eight links to websites and told people to visit them. They give you a drop down box to choose a catagory. I myself chose Advertisment.
Hope that helped. :-)

Oh boy, do I ... chatting, solicitations, profane/inappropriate content, foreign language questions, even inane questions, sometimes all in the same question .
But sometimes I want to actually make progress and earn some points so I don't always.

I haven't reported anything yet, but mostly because I'm not sure what is unacceptable vs borderline, so I leave the reporting up to other people.
I know, I know, Don't be a bystander, right? But I don't know, I'm already classified as a tattle tale among my siblings.

yes i have, and believe me, i can swear up a storm and make a truck driver blush. There are some things that are indeed inappropriate for a community site of all ages such as this one. I come here to share what I know and try to learn what I don't know, and i for one applaud your question.

I report a lot of things. Usually unnecessary profanity and pointless rude comments. I figure, I'll report them all and let Yahoo sort them out.
