The independence of the United States of America from Great Britian. The Declaration of Independence day was first signed on July 4th but later revised on the 6th. SO i dont know why we dont celebrate July 6th as Independence Day *shrugs shoulders*

It is about celebrating our freedom. Many good men and women have fought for this right. Someones Dad or Brother or son died so that we can be free. Or Mother or sister or daughter or friend. Fellow Americans the fourth of july is about more than watching fire works and drinking Budweiser, These are all just perks. WE ARE FREE, we are one nation under God. Happy 4th. of July!

It is supposed to be about Independence Day, but I feel that for the greater majority it is about having the day off to spend with family and/or party with friends, and watch fireworks. maybe throw in a few bbq's
