Well that depends on taste. The norm is that it would face the door. So if you walk into the room you would be looking at the bed. But, some rooms are not designed so that this is possible. So if you have to have it on the same wall as the door that's OK. Just don't cover windows with it.

Depends on the room. Feng Shui says not to let your bed face a door because your luck will escape. You can try catty-cornered (angle) that's always interesting. But whatever you do, keep it symetrical with the windows and closets. If it isn't, you can fake it with extended curtains and such.
