Do you feel compelled to plunk down some quarters for good music when you go out?

What songs/artists get you into the groove?

Yes, but only when I'm at one of the Mel's Diners in San Francisco or Los Angeles. Mel's Diners were around in the 50's and 60's. Their jukeboxes only play music form that period. I have a lot of that music, but there's something about hearing it on the jukebox. Back then it was one song for a dime and three for a quarter - it's a bit more costly now.

Oh, I always like to put in a few dollars when I go somewhere that has a jukebox, but only if it has good music. I used to go to a pool hall in Webster, Texas that had great rock and metal music mostly. My preferred groove depends on my mood and the setting where the jukebox is located.
