It revolves around the sun because of the gravity formed billions and billions of years ago by the sun's huge mass. And the sun won't burn up for another million or billion years, just so you know. We would've already killed ourselves off with global warming and/or war by then. But anyway, astronomers aren't sure exactly how earth and the other planets got into the sun's gravitational feild, but they did, so now they orbit and get slowly close each year (like millimeters, nothing major).

There's no real "point," it just kind of happened. Like how only one moon revolves around the earth. What's the point of only one rather than 10? Just coincidence.

The sun will be fine for the next 4 billion years, so we don't need to worry about burning up. The point of your life is to do the most with what you've got. Get busy and start living; you only get one chance, so make it good.

The Earth rotates around the Sun due to gravity. We are all waiting for Mercury to start on fire then we're gonna jump ship to Mars. Didn't you get the memmo?

i want 100 dollars! it revolves around the sun probably because of gravity...it just can't help itself, besides it would be pretty chilly without a sun. And there would be no rainbows... or weather... or you know.. life. Whats the point of anything really?

there is no point-a point's a concept that only u understand-or try to-nature does not make points--but if it made other happenings--u would probably not be around to ask this question-so don't worry--be happy u exist-4 the moment-an if u need order-try some religion-they have all the answers--don't they--?

You better study deeply on Einstein's Theory of Relativity.
