Why is it whenever someone asks a question pertaining to Nascar a majority of the people answering are only idiots saying that Nascar is not a sport or is only a "redneck sport". If you people feel that way about Nascar why do you even bother reading the questions or trying to answer them?

B/c they r rude people who don't care if some people actually DO like NASCAR! I love NASCAR & I agree with u 100% on that! I've asked questions that had 2 do with NASCAR & about 1/3 of them didn't like it! Which is fine, they don't have 2 like it, but then they shouldn't answer the freakin' question! Yeah, 2 points are really worth answering a question with a rude comment! Jeez!

Nascar is no longer a redneck sport ,the cost of cup racing drove the redneck's out long ago besides i would call em good ole boys.Nascar is a sport regardless of what all the haters say their just jealous that Nascar has now surpassed all other sports except the NFL, give Nascar a few more years and the NFL wont be able to see anything but Nascar's taillights

People who say NASCAR isn't a sport have never seen how hard those crew teams work to stay in shape!!! Let them change tires, fill a gas tank and make adjustments in under 15 seconds flat. Let those people get off their couch potato asses and drive for 400 miles in a car that is over 110 degrees fahrenheit at 200 miles an hour. I would rather hang with the rednecks any day of the week. They are in a class by themselves anyway. I would rather sit an argue over whose the better driver any day of the week with a drunk backwoods hillbilly then listen to boring stats from a game like football.
All football is is a bunch of guys wearing tight pants, bending over eachother, grunting and then getting physical. Sounds kind of like a ****** game to me!
Driving a race car is risking your life every time you get behind the wheel. An injury in football or baseball or basketball rarely involves possible fire or flying through the air at speeds over 180 miles an hour.
Let's see those assholes get out there and do what we do!

NASCAR is definatly a *sport*! Why else would National television stations, re: FOX/FX/ABC/SPEED be broadcasting * just a race* and paying TOP dollar for it?? Why else would people be spending millions each year to go see a race and sit on the benches or sit in the middle of the tracks in there RV's and swimming pools with BBQ's a cook'in?? Why else would drivers make millions of dollars each year paid for by winnings and by sponsers? Why would thousands of sports memoribilia be sold for NASCAR and favorite drivers? Why ?? Why??
IF NASCAR were not a sport none of this would be happening...NFL, NHL, NBL....ALL MAKE MONEY , ALL have sponsers, ALL have *tailgate* parties of sorts...ALL sell hats, shirts, ect...ect...THEY ARE ALL SPORTS!
Something the people love to watch, love to root for and love to be a part of!

Because the haters just love it, any chance they get, to FLAME these Answers threads! They are nothing but small-minded people looking for attention who know no other way of getting it other than to post stupid comments that have been rehashed god knows how many times here. They probably are trying to look all cool and impress their friends "Hey, let's flame the NASCAR questions on Answers! It'll be so cool!" because they have 0 life, and apparently are amused by spending time on things they dont' like. also, my bet is they are jackasses in their own heart, but don't have the balls to do it in person and love being able to get online and be a coward behind a screen name.
and to the people who keep preeching abot pollution i so hope you choke on your own holiness. blah, give it a rest. we're all gonna die eventually.. i figure i might as well go out with a bang and if that means sniffing high octane fuel..so be it.
