Just went through the same thing. He totally lied about everything and I gave so much of myself to him. Forgiveness is a wonderful thing, but it will take time. And believe me, when it comes to broken hearts, time is the absolute best healer.
Move on, right now it's hurting (I'm in the exact same place), but I also know I'm better off. I hopefully will meet another guy who's worth my love. You will too.

My (soon to be ex) wife totally betrayed my trust. She told me she did not love me anymore as she started running around with a male friend from work. I don't think I will ever forgive her, ever. She is causing me so much pain right now I surely will never forget.

You may never be able to forgive that individual, but you certainly can learn how to move forward and get on with life.

Don't waste your time trying to figure this out. Why would you want to forgive someone who broke your heart, anyway?

It's not easy, but it can be done. After your heart has been broken, it's okay to cry and mourn over it, but then you have to start to let it go, and realize that it is the other person's problem. A friend of mine said something that seriously broke my heart a few months ago, and he still hasn't even apologized for it; after crying about it, trying to talk to him about it, and much prayer, I forgave him. Eventually he will apologize, and hopefully, that will be the beginning of salvaging our friendship.

Well first of all, you have to think about what they did? Did they really hurt you enough to ruin your life. If they hurt you bad enough to the point to where they broke your heart, and you feel wrong with them, then you need to let him go, if you feel like there is still something there, then you need to pursue it and see what happens...

This depends on:

1) Your ability to accept and try to move past what happened.
2) Their continued demonstration that they are sorry and are deserving of another chance.
3) Time.

if you are the forgiving type don't do it until you are entirely ready...forgiving is sometimes forgetting but this is different..hard to forget...just take care of yourself and your feelings and don't worry about that other person....they are responsible for their's...
