A lot better! My dad works with internet security as his job and he said that Zone Alarm is the best free one out there on the market. He said it's when you start getting the upgrades to the pro, that the quality goes down. As long as you're using the free one, feel secure in it and in knowing you have great protection.

The free version of Zonealarm is an excellent firewall. It does not protect you from viruses.

Yes...McAfee firewall is pretty good to. but it's not free. Since you only need one firewall...stick with zonealarm if you already have it.
