Call me an optimist, but I think that there is ALWAYS something entertaining to do no matter where you are. However, whether or not you really want to have fun all depends on your taste and/or interests. In this case, and if you are interested in the arts and natural sciences, Houston has several great museums, most of which are located in the museum district just south of downtown Houston. If museums aren't your cup of tea, you could try the Galleria (a great shopping mall), a few of the nightclubs and theatres downtown, Gulf Greyhound Park (that is, if you don't mind a little gambling), or The Aquarium. (I could go on and on, but I'll stop there and allow you to do your own research.)

Depending on your age there's much to do here- we have the second largest theatre district in the US----We have, if you wanna get funky, Montrose, very cool clubs and places to hang out. It's so flat here you can hop on a bike a ride pretty much anywhere- unless you live outside the small loop, get's too much then. Ball games all the time. Concerts here endlessly.

Go play pool.
Go take a swim in Galveston, or go to the water park their.
It all depends on your age, I could tell you more, if I knew what kind of fun you were looking for, it's hard to point you in the direction, without more information.

Ah, it's just because you're new here and don't know anyone. Get off the computer and go meet your neighbors. But, for a few ideas, go check out this link to help you get started on getting to know where you live and what there is to do.
