Help it. My cat, Unser, was found in a similar situation by my sister and brother-in-law. Worse shape actually than just a broken leg. They took him in, he had surgery (the vet actually wanted to amputate the leg) and healed pretty darn well. He doesn't have much muscle in that leg and is missing part of the pad on that paw, but he uses it just as well as the others really. I've had him since he was around six months old. He's 10 now and the most loving and kind cat ever. Unser is my boy!

Either leave, and/or tell someone else about it so they can deal with it.

If it looks like it's on it's last leg (so to speak) I would tell someone to just off it to save it's from misery.

Not my cat, not my responsibility. I don't want to foot the vet bill, so screw it.

Edit:

And for the people saying it's like leaving a person in the middle of the road to die:

a cat =/= human (Which means, cats do not equal humans)

Please adopt all the strays if you feel they are equal to humans please. There are over 1 million in New York City alone. Good luck with that.

I would definitely help it. Why would you leave it there to suffer? That's so wrong. If you had a broken leg and was laying in the street, would you want someone to help you,or would you prefer to be ran over by a car?

Of course I'd help it. You'd have to take it to the vet. What sort of a cruel person would leave it on the side of the road. That's like saying that you shouldn;t call the emergency services because there are more people. You sicken me.

I would help it, but if I saw someone like you on the road with a broken leg I would leave. LOL

A cat with one broken leg is still mobile enough to outrun you. You won't catch it. You could maybe knock on a couple doors asking about it, but that's about all you can do for it.

my cat broke her pelvis in a car accident, we took her to the vets and the vet told us that we could either take her home and left her heal herself or give her an operation.

he said she would probably fair better if she were left to her own devices. so we took her home, she sat under a dresser for a week and came out fine.

i'd probably take the cat to a vet's and see what they say about it.

I'd get it out of the street and call animal control or take it to a vet.

It depends on if was a cutie, or if it looked like it had rabies. I think I would take care of it cause I love cats.
