My husband has recently started watching this series on DVD. I have seen scattered episodes of the first season (he's nearly to the end of season 1). In one of the early episodes I predicted that the Security Chief (Garibaldi) and the lady (Ivanova?) were going to fall in love. This was based on a single scene where she was upset about something and he tried to make her feel better and it was cute and sweet and awkward. Since then it has become something of a joke; every time I see my husband watching an episode I ask, "Are they in love yet?". So, my question is, was my prediction correct?

Sorry to say, but no, Garibaldi and Ivanova never fall in love. Ivanova is career military, so she tends to be pretty aloof. She has had a couple of romantic involvements, short-lived, and I won't spoil any future episodes by going into details, unless you want me to...
I will give away that she never gets romantically involved with any regular member of the crew.
