I've always heard it as "You can't get ahead and you can't even break even."

A lot of people are being taught very bad science by people who don't understand it. And its a shame because these people are getting a very confusing and raw deal. Mis-education in the name of religion is a very low down way of getting your point across, and you really have to be wary of the motives of anyone willing to stoop that low against the very people the are declaring to help and guide.

The thing is, if you ask any scientist weather they thing the Second Law or Thermodynamics has any ting to do with Evolution they will laugh at you, the two are simply unrelated in the way these hacks would like you to believe they are. Because they (the hacks) only tell you the first half of the law.

Whatever you accomplish in life will be for nothing, therefore, why should you try to accomplish anything....? The all pervasive and irreversible edicts of the 2nd law makes life not worth living, unless of course, you realize its ramifications and only live for 'the moment.'

Until then, you will be fatalistic about everything in life. Those who do not understand ramifications of the 2nd law will live happier, if delusional, lives.

No social ramifications of any kind.

2nd law:
"The entropy of an isolated system not at equilibrium will tend to increase over time, approaching a maximum value."

Society is not an isolated system and is not at equilibrium.
