it's only bad when you don't take precautions.
It's just like AOL, Yahoo, MSN.. and any other chat program where you can meet people.
It's just "IN" right now.. so the rpess loves to talk crap and blaim it on the site, and not the dumb people that created the news.

I think it's a bad thing. they should change the age to at least 16. There is no telling how many horror stories they have aired on tv about young girls getting raped- and in every story, it's myspace this and myspace that.

I do, it's very dangerous. There are many things that could go wrong if you open a MySpace account.

It is not any worse than any other place on the net, as long as you teach your child to use common sense about not giving out personal information. There is a lot of "adult content" there, but the proper parental software will take care of that.
I have noticed that some of the links there do lead to viruses and TONS of adware and spyware. But they certainly haven't cornered the market on that. Always use a good virus scan/internet security program.

myspace is a tool like many things idiots label "Good" or "Bad" Like oil, heathcare, cigarettes and firearms for example. Inanimate objects (or data in this case) is only as good or as bad as the person using it.

It's bad vireusus have been spread through it but also it's completly fine. the ppl who get harrasased or something have done it themselves by making wrong choices.
