well i can tell ya that Mac Momma does not know what she is talking about. Not all amplifiers will match up to your receiver or speakers. the first and most important thing is that all components must match up as far as the ohm output and wattage capabilities. and the vehicles interior plays a major part of the quality of sound you get from the system. It is too easy to get a system that is "overkill" , and when you are dealing with high wattage systems, be sure that you hook your speakers up to the right polarities. and your vehicle's electrical system is capable of handling the load demand need by the amplifier. some think just getting a bigger battery solves the problem, but that is not the case. believe me, I do this for a living.

same here.I had to find the exact amplifier to correspond with my speakers.Also I was told that the amplifier has to be connected to the car battery.Im handing mine over to a professional.

Receiver > amplifier > speakers.

each speaker has two wires, make sure the speaker pops OUT when the music is on, if it sucks in, reverse the wires.
