What is it that attracts gay men to these wonderful women, and are there any male celebs that attract them en-masse like the females do?
Long ago, David Bowie was a hot attraction for gay men. What male celeb is in that position today?

I can only speak for myself, but I'll say that I'm not really big into the diva scene. Bette Midler performed at a VERY early conference on gay rights during a time when that wasn't a "safe" thing to do for someone in show business. I respect her for supporting the movement from that early on. Madonna: I kinda like some of her music, and I like that she's a huge rebel that makes people question why "wrong" is wrong.
I liked Gwen Stefani better with No Doubt. Not a fan of her solo stuff, so... that's just musical taste.
As for why other gay men like divas: I'm not sure exactly. Some guesses: they're strong women who are defying gender expectations while still being very proudly female. Um, many of these women were in SOME way supportive of the gay movement, whether through lyrics or whatever else. Uh...that's all I got.

With your attitude I don't see anyone being attracted to you anytime soon. You want to prove to yourself that you're good looking or something? I fail to understand why attracting a gay person interests you as you say you're not gay... Physical looks aren't the only thing that attracts someone.

I don't know if it's just Gay men who love these women....I think perhaps (not to generalize) they feel more free to express appreciation for beauty, both in the case of their looks and their talent (and you missed Kylie Minogue on your list ;). And as for hot male celeb, the only recent one my friends have gushed over is Vin Diesel.

Because they admire and love them, same reason so many middle aged heterosexual women admired and loved Liberace: the glamour, the glitz, the performances, the songs and the way the performers interact with their admirers.

Probably because they want to be women, so they pick the beautiful ones to imitate. David Bowie is probably bi, but he is married to a beautiful model named Iman.

i always wondered this too. Maybe they want to be these woman or they admire their breasts. I think it has something to do with the "diva" thing these superstars have.
