i used to have a controlling husband, thats why he`s my ex now and i just don`t want to see my friend make the same mistakes.but she refuses to listen... to anything. he does not beat her, he will not let her do anything on her own, i asked her to go to the park one day because we boyh have kids, but she said her hubby would not like that.

Why? Because as far as she is concerned you are "trouble" for her. This man is isolating her from her friends because he is so insecure. She is listening to his crap because SHE is so insecure she needs someone to bully her around to feel loved. My best advice..you had your say, she knows where you stand on this. Now it's time to MYOB. Just be there when she calls for your help; and she will. Listen and don't offer any advice unless asked if you want to keep your friend. I know it hurts you; but...you're in a "no-win"situation. God Bless you both.

She must not have a problem with it. As a good friend I think I'd apologize and promise not to get involved again. Be there for the one day when she decides for herself that that's it. It's either that or give up the relationship.

Ask her why she stays. Ask her why she puts up with it, and listen. She probably thinks you are missing something important (like her financial situation, custody of the kids, etc.) and simply doesn't want to chance having the same misguided conversation again. It is very hard to talk about. Maybe he is listening?

you need to be carefull here cause a lot of times a husband and wife like to play master slave games and this may be what is going on and somnetimes they do not want other knowing they do this
just be carefull and if she will answer you ask her and say are you into the master and slave or role playing if they are nothing is wrong but if not then take it one step. cause a lot of times they get very mad if you help

i agree with you. she may also. but for some people, talking about relationship problems can be embarrassing. they dont want other people to know. i tend to be that way myself. let her know that you understand, and that you will be there for her if she ever wants to talk or anything at all. however, dont push the issue. if she doesnt want to talk about it, she will get upset. maybe she is worried about her kids or even money.

if i was in your position. i would first apologize even if you dont think your wrong. it will make her feel better. and i dont know what kind of crap he is giving her, but just kind of hint at it. you cant be too forward or she will get mad, but if you arent forward enough she wont get the hints.
