I agree with everyone who has asked about how she could get rid of house that belonged to the two of you, or are you from another country with different laws than the USA? She could not legally do that sh*t over here and I notice how you put the $$$ amount. Anyway, confront her lying cheating *ss. Would she really have the audacity to withhold your part of the money after you confront her? Don't just take it and run, you could be asking for major trouble doing that. If she did something illegal with the sale of the property then you could possibly take half and run, but I am not sure. I'd try to do it all legal if I were you. If it ends up in court you don't want to look as devious as she is. However, definitely confront the no good b*tch and let her know you busted her *** and do not let her get the best of you. Make her suffer like she has you.

She can only sell the second home if it is hers alone, if your name is on the deeds then legally she cannot sell it without you having to agree and co-sign some forms so what she has done may be illegal. I'm sure the police would be very interested and could possibly freeze her bank accounts which would be a wonderful piece of revenge as would letting all your friends and neighbours know what has happened. The sympathy may be hard to swallow but it WILL all be in your favour.

If she managed to sell the house without you knowing then obviously you had no legal ownership or vested interest in the property. You maybe had a moral interest if you put money or effort into the property but could you stand up in court and prove anything.
Take all the money, place in the hands of a solicitor and fight it out in court.

If she sold the house without your knowledge, then the house must have been her own to sell. She could not have sold it without your authority otherwise. If however you have genuinely contibuted to paying for that house in some way then you should take your share as she can't really argue that it's not owed you. If not, tempting thought it may be - and as much as you want revenge - it is theft and if i were her i would call the police.

take half, leave a note, and have fun!!!!!!! Collect all her stuff in bin bags and throw them on the drive, change the locks, change your phone numbers. Better luck next time- we arent all like that. Or, you could just take the money and run, but what about your home and belongings; are they worth more than the money in the safe???

I agree with everyone else. If the BOTH of you bought the house, then take 1/2 and leave a receipt.

if you brought the 2nd house together and both names are on the title deeds then you should seek legal advice to get your contribution back.

If it is only in her name then you do not have a leg to stand on. Unless you are married. Cut your losses and find someone else.

I think I saw this in a made for T.V. movie once. Get out of the house now, the ending wasn't pretty if I recall correctly.

you could but when you get caught, you won't have a leg to stand on.
how did she manage to sell your second house anyway? isn't your name on the deeds as well? (meaning that you needed to be present at the signing, unless she forged your signature. in which case you can take her to court)

personally, I would take the money from the cheating b!tch and disappear for a while....

If you help buy the other house and she sold it, then you should take half.....that is what you deserve.

Wow,,,,,,better be glad that you found out before she just took off and ran.
