Looking for a in toilet cleaner like the one that clips on the side of toilet or gets tossed in tank. I tried a few but the water won't hit it and I moved it everywhere. All the ones I've tried in the tank don't last very long.

Nothing beats a hand, a brush and some vinegar, In my opinion, these clip-ons and drop-ins are a waste of money, the clip-ons can fall in the toilet, get flushed and cause pollution in sewerage or septic tanks.

I'm not sure what an automatic toilet is, but I like "The Works" for my manual model. Also the very best product for cleaning soap scum from showers, hands down. Trust me, I've tried 'em all. The Works works.
