From everything I remember, the boat he was actually on was a small sloop that he and a prisoner release agent had taken out to the HMS Tonnant to negotiate the release of a prisoner. They were not allowed to return to shore until after the bombardment of Fort McHenry. I have never seen the name of the sloop he was on. I am no expert though.
