Seriously, and why are so many of them on Yahoo answers!
I ask a question and get an answer about "gaming for points is a no-no" taking all of the fun out of my trivia question! What is with that? I guess some people seem to thrive and delight in causing grief and minor misery to others. I think I would die of shock if I met a nice person in the world, let alone the computer. I am tired of people being so mean, critical and judgmental, all because they think that they can. Enough already!

I've been asking that myself for a long time. It's either a predator kind of behavior, that makes the mean person feel good by putting other's down and saying nasty things. Or lack of self esteem at the same time actually.
I have never seen so much hatred online as i do nowadays. It's very pathetic and scary. But the other option I see fits, the devil is out there trying to get in every single person's head.
And there is from mean to meeeean I f you know what im saying.
Some people are plain evil too. Which shows the power of satan too. He is behind a lot that people don't yet realize. It may sound extreme fo me to say this, but its true. I thnk we are in a time when people are very influenced by satan. and thus their attitudes and mean ways.
that s my opinion also based on what i know is true from the Bible and what Jesus taught and the word of God. based on my own experiences and what i 've learned from my journeys, today the world is very much under a dark age and darkness that befalls tragically on humanity. its indeed the end time.
peopole used to respect parents. friends. strangers. but not anymore. the hatred and mean state of ppl is too much for us to disregard that something more powerful and evil is also behind al l that we see in today's world.
it can start with mean people online. or seeing how mean ppl get online. and in real life.

Because they're enslaved by their sin nature, that's why.
Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." 15 But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another! 16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall by no means fulfill the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these things oppose each other, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are: adultery, fornication, immorality, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, 21 envies, murders, drinking bouts, revelries, and the like; which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control--against such things there is no law.

I agree home training does play a role in how people treat others. But I belive it is mostly dependent on the person in question. At this site I think people abuse thier right to free speech. Instead of offering common sense respect they feel as though they are not accountable for thier answers.

People who are mean do not take the feelings of others into consideration. They are full of apathy and are self-absorbed. Maybe that is the way that they have been treated at home, maybe not. No matter what the reason is, there is not an excuse for mean behavior.

People are mean because they are unhappy and a lot of times they don't even like themselves. So they take it out on others. These people are to be pitied.

It is because we are really animals and not created by a god but evolved like the rest of the animals. It is like thinking that a tiger is evil. It is not it just mean because that is how it survives.

Because they have an inferiority complex and the only thing they have going for them is an online profile behind which they can hide and say the things they wouldn't dare say in person.

It's a natural process of elimination. If the stupid get put in their place often enough, hopefully they'll shut the f*ck up!

Because a-lot of people are scapegoats and rather than accept their own shortcomings they blame others and cause turmoil in all they do.
