I understand Montana State U. is a fairly good place for physics. But the locals I know don't know much about this particular community college. It is commonly said that taking your first two years at a community college is a good choice. Certainly the subject matter covered is comparable. If that's all you can afford or qualify for, go for it.

Your best bet is talking with your school's academic guidance counselor and your science teachers, who know you and what you have done so far. If that's not enough, try the physics departments and admissions offices of both schools. The better your mind and the stronger your motivation to work, the more you will benefit from a higher quality education, and also the more likely you are to get financial assistance to go to a school that's better for you.

You took the time to ask the question here. Now, gather up your school grades and your SAT scores, and write a report on who you are and what you want from college. With that, it shouldn't be hard to find someone who will take the time to get to know you, and to work with you to make good choices. Your interest and dilligence will show them you're worth investing in. Good luck!

Isn't it difficult to get students who have flat heads? Is it a typo and you meant fatheads? They're much more common in students everywhere.
