How long do you think it’ll be before it’s revealed that someone with high level government clearance was involved in the fabrication of Osama’s constant re-emergence in the press? I’m having a difficult time believing that Bin Laden isn’t already dead. Part of that is due to the dubious nature of the war we’re fighting, it’s hard to know who to trust anymore. The White House scolds the press for leaks about the government investigating the “flow of cash” to various terrorist organizations, but it’ll allow coverage of anytime Osama picks his nose. Why? And often it seems that he shows up a few weeks after some sort of uncomfortable story of political incompetence happens to air. In short I’m finding it difficult to trust the media or the government and I’m wondering how long before we finally get the straight story on anything and how will I know it’s the truth. I really don’t want to believe in conspiracies but this presidency is making me far too uneasy with what they’re saying.

I’m not the type of person who likes to spout off about the incompetence of the president or how the government is evil, after all I did vote for the man for his first term (a big mistake) and now I’m seriously worried about the harm he’s doing with the country at large. I’m willing to hear any earnest views on this topic (hopefully without you questioning my political views as being incompetent or unpatriotic), but please tell me something that makes sense.
Thank you

Also, in case I don’t get enough responses I may resubmit it because I had trouble figuring out which category to place this question under. If you know which category it should be placed, please tell me.

S Martin. I considered this in my question, which is why I’m wondering as to weather Osama is dead or not. After all we’re the most technically advanced country in the world. But we don’t have the recourses or the intelligence capabilities to find this one man. That rationale rings hollow to me, unless someone here is ignoring that information or not reporting it to make the president look good.

Mr jmminnc I would almost agree with you about the FBI, but we’ve got officials telling us that we’ve got the most sophisticated systems and the most advanced research going into this war (hell, even the president has said as much). Besides that, we’ve also got more organizations in specialized high tech surveillance going into this than at any time in history and your telling me that it’s impossible.
Tell me what other country has not only the FBI, but the CIA the NSA and the military and god knows who else involved? There’s no other country period that’s so hyped about security or surveillance or has the capability for undertaking such a job. Unless your diatribe is to tell me that we can’t do it and to accept it, sorry to say that I’m not so easily consoled because I’ll be letting the media harass me into conformity.
And believe me you’re obviously the one looking for the UFO’s because I never brought it up nor made that connection.
Good luck on your hunt

An interesting question.
I have wondered a few times if Bin Laden is already captured or dead - and if so, this will undoubtedly be brought out either during election time, when the Republicans need more support, or when Bush does something really wrong or dumb - what better way to make people forget than to finally find the person we've been looking for for years?
I also REALLY don't want to be seen as one of those crazy conspiracy theorists, but it is really hard to watch the antics of the current government and not wonder, at least a bit. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one wondering.
If you want to reallllly wonder more about Bin Laden, his role in 9/11, and our government's role with both of those things, I would recommend watching the documentary 'Loose Change'. Its available for free on Google Video. I'm not testifying to the absolute accuracy of the movie, but it brings up some very interesting ideas.

We may never fully know the truth behind this presidency, at least not for 12 years under the Presidential Records Act and never if Bush has anything to do with it by dint of his executive order placing high hurdles for release requests.
The only sure way that papers will be released for study is by court order, probably after many appeals, or if someone finds the grounds to impeach the president before he leaves office. The whole while the president's defenders will be trying to hide the information because of national security and accusing critics of being soft on terror, etc.
This is not meant to pass judgement on the president or the current state of affairs. Just an attempt to explain what the situation appears to be.

If anyone is faking Osama's appearances it isn't the U.S. Government. It would be great news for Bush if Osama were dead. As it now stands, his appearances are a virtual thumbing of the nose at the U.S. and it's allies who are supposed to be the most powerful and technologically advanced countries on this planet.
Get a little truth in your perspectives OK?

I don't think we'll ever know the truth about anything that goes on in Washington. If/when we hear something with a hint of truth in it, one has to wonder WHO is doing the exposing, and for what reason. None of us will ever know the whole truth on any topic, because there will always be someone of rank who will suffer if the truth comes out, and someone who will benefit. So there will always be twisting, one way or another. I don't believe anyone with integrity ever makes it to DC- and I voted for the guy, too.

I do believe Osama is still alive and well (probably plotting his next revenge on us "non-muslims"). There has been a theory lately that the government actually knew about 9/11...BEFORE, it happened (fold certain currency and you will see the towers buring, and this was before the above date..duh). I sugguest you do a search on google about all of this. I however don't think that it will ever be revealed per sa.

WE CAN NOT FIND MEN ON THE FBI MOST WANTED AND THEY ARE SHOPPING AT WALMART SOME WHERE IN THE STATES.
Come on do you think we can look into a glass ball and just find one guy. You think were so hi tec. If we could do that we could find some lost kid or a sailor lost at sea.
We are just not there yet. If you just go back a few years we were just starting to fly cars were new most of us had horses. We heated our homes with wood. We are just a step out of that world.
I bet you go out looking for UFO and want them to take you home.

One truth for sure -the US is not as invincible or all knowing or as all power as previously thought. With so much technology, "we" overestimated what we could do. We can't even find Osama after all these years. A definite black eye for our government. "We" can't even spread freedom in a package acceptable to the Iraqi people the way "we" think they should have it.

I honestly think that it is going to be a very long time before we find out the truth about stuff, if ever. It will definitely take a different President, that is for sure.
