it depends..there are 3 conditions

1) u choose them: for example they did something that u don't like, so u immediately hate them or they're just totally opposite ur personality so u make them ur enemies

2) they choose u: which is the same as 1) but from their side

3) neither: here fate plays a part...maybe they're enemies of the family so they have to be ur enemies and many other examples

i hope u understand....

and try to avoid enemies as much as u can...just fill ur life with friends

A little of both, I guess. I mean, there are some nut jobs out there that just look for innocent people like us (ding) :) to annoy and take out their vengence on.
But then sometimes people underestimate others (they're especially bad about underestimating us short people), and we kick their butts.
So really, it goes both ways. They choose us, and then we choose to tick 'em off even more, so they tell everyone they know, which gives us more enemies. We kick a bunch of butt, and half the town hates us....yay!...or is that just the way it all goes down here in MS? Southern chicks especially are kind of feisty. Dunno...let me know if you come up with anything different.

I think it's mutual. You can't make an enemy out of someone you don't know. You can hate someone you don't know, if you are fed negative propaganda about them, and you can love someone you don't know, if you are fed positive propaganda about them (eg, movie stars!) but the fact that you ask if they choose you or you choose them underlines the hypothesis that it is mutual, and you have to actually know someone to make an enemy of them.
At least, that's my take on the situation.

If you do something bad to someone then you choose to make them your enemy. If someone does something to you then they choose to make you their enemy.

It just sort of happens....
But sometimes, I choose them. But they don't know it.

I keep my enemies close.

It depends. I've never really tried to make enemies. But sometimes things don't work out.

I make enemies by thinking negative and not accepting them for who they are.

You sit down, have a nice lunch together, and agree to mutually hate each other. Than you both split the bill for old times sakes and life goes on?
