It depends who started the war. Defensive war can only stop if the offensive stops or is defeated.
I dont like war but if you come to violate me or my family or my land, dont think I will not pick up a gun and shoot?
So if you started the war, then only you can stop it.
I will fight till the end if I am on the other side.

As long as there's been people there's been war. It seems to be a part of human nature to solve problems by violence rather than discussion. Being against it is easy, nobody wants to die or see others harmed but still there is war all the time. At any given moment in all recorded history there's been war someplace on earth. The U.S.A. is a large country and we tend to be involved in large wars. Smaller countries have wars but the scale is lesser as they have less influence and power. The only way to end wars altogether is to find a common area where everyone on the planet agrees with the same philosophy and lifestyle. And as soon as monkeys can fly and gasoline is 2 cents a gallon we'll be one happy, peaceful world.

I would like to quote Nicholas Cage from National Treasure, " those who have the power to invoke chnage also have the responablility to do so." We live a country where every man woman and child has a voice. One person can make a difference. The government works for us, not the other way around. it's govt. for the people, by the people, with the people. if we want this war to end we must end it ourselfs. Stand up and fight for what we believe is right. We send troops to fight for the rights of others. Let us honnor their sacrifice by fighting for the rights of all americans. mainly the right not to be told this is how Im going to run the country. im the president and I'll do as I damn well please. lets band together and show the world that this nation will not toloerate being controlled the way it has been. Let's show president Bush that we wont go quitely into the night, that we will not seise with out a fight. not with guns, or bombs, but with our words. the pen has always been mightier thant he sword. If we want this war to end then lets end it. Once and for all. the line must be drawn here this far and not farther.

I marched against a potential war in Iraq long before it took place. The police were taking pictures of us, which at the time was quite disturbing.I had marched against the Vietnam War also, but as far as I knew had never had my picture taken. People are afraid of the consequences that come from expressing their opinions against the war. I was hoping that they would call for a draft. Not that I agree with it, but I know when it affects everyone's children, things happen. The administration know it also, this is why they haven't taken that route, yet.

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

Because the duly elected President is the Commander-in-Chief of the US military. He decides how and for how long the war is fought. The only thing that can be done to stop it other than that is for Congress to cut off the funding, and they're not going to do that.

You hate war and make liberal use of the word (We). Well (We) didn't ask for them jerks to come over here and kill 3,000 of our people so as for doing something about the war I might join the army to fight it that means (We) will be doing something about it.
