My brother is gay, and he does not. Why would they want to do that? A straight male would not be interested.
If a gay male has hit on you, it may be that you are giving off the wrong vibes, or maybe he is just trying to make you fell uncomfortable to see your reaction.

Hmmm... I was hit on once straight on and I think another time but only flirting. I don't really dress very metrosexual, a little bit but mostly casual so I don't think they could have thought I was gay. LOL, I don't care though as long as it doesn't get out of line.

ive known some that do, and they usually cant help but tell u how hot u are and some r just playing around but NOT EVERY GAY MALE HIT ON STRAIGHT MALES PURPOSELY. so dont become quick to punch one of them, they probably dont know it just depends on that person, if theyre childish, or mature...

Honestly , I know many gay men and they try hitting on straight men because they hope they can convert.

They do, possibly for one of two reasons:
1: Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
2: Some like making people squirm (it certainly gives me the creeps on those rare occasions when it has happened to me).
