So if you make 100 dollars, you pay 10 dollars tax. And if you make 1000 dollars you pay 100 dollars taxes.

Fair. Let's roll with this idea. Even as a political Liberal, I do not believe a person of wealth should have to shoulder so much more of the tax burden by %. If everyone actually paid 10%, it would be fair and would do the trick.

Because of the onerous %'s placed on the wealthy, they are forced to take advantage of tax shelters in order to preseve their hard earned wealth. I completely understand the frustration they must feel to be taxed at today's rates.

Of course as a Liberal, I would certainly spend the collected tax dollars quite differently than the current administration.

But the collection of 10% from the poorest to the richest would be fair and would allow every American to feel that indeed they had contributed their fair share to the upkeep of America.

I'm just kidding, because you didn't say WHERE the taxes go from there. However, I'd be interested to know the answer. I HATE the 28% bracket! Most people are in that one and it sucks.
