but yeah, ive sprained my ankle pretty bad when i was dancing and i couldnt dance for like 3 weeks...i kept doing exercises and danced on it little by little to get back into it. just stay off of it until its not swollen anymore and when you do decide to get back on it go very slowly and dont do too much at once...if you do it could cause pain in your ankle forever. both my knees and my left anke have been injured and now i have to wear braces on all of them when im dancing.
oh, and the numbness should fade in time, if it doesnt then let a doctor know.

More than likely, the swelling of the tendons and ligaments from the sprain is putting some pressure on one or more of the nerves or the nerve tissue coverings that pass through that area. Keep in mind that the ankle is the only connection your leg has to your foot, so everything has to pass through the ankle and any compromise of that joint can effect any other part. Because blood supply to the ligaments and tendons is very sparse, healing those areas can take a very long time, usually several months but even up to a year or more. Sometimes, the damage done is permanent.
Stick with the physical therapy and make sure that your physician and therapist know your concerns. If the problem continues, your physician may prescribe more x-rays and/or a CT scan or MRI to determine if any permanent damage has been done to the ligaments or tendons and if they are impeding on any nerves or blood vessels. If they are, some minor surgery may be required in the future to solve the problem. Also, make sure you follow the orders your therapist and doctor give. If they tell you to stay off of your foot, stay off of it. Trying to push to hard too soon may actually make your problem last much longer.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.
So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.
Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.
A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Actually, it is common to have a nerve injury with a grade 2 or 3 ankle sprain. About 90% of grade 3's and 70% of grade 2's do have a nerve injury associated with them.
(But, if it persists I would think to check back with your doctor as it might be something else.)

I guess we are all non-doctors, giving medical advice anyway.
I would think a pinched nerve, rather than nerve damage. Try "cracking" the big toes, like you'd crack your knuckles. Massage the whole foot hard, rubbing with your fingertips and thumb tips, esp. on the sides of the ankle.
Rub your hand knuckles along the top (instep) of the foot.
It's like playing "This little piggy".Wherever you feel pain, RUB the pain until it goes away. Esp. on the very tip of the big toe. Don't forget to squeeze each toe right on the nail.

In eighth grade I made a joke, my friend Ryan was talking to the teacher, and he said he was up until 3 am. She (the teacher) asked why. I said, "If you keep doing that you'll go blind." The teacher got really mad, but the only people that got it were the teacher, me, Ryan, and another friend Dave who watched the whole thing. I got the detention, got stuck in a back room, where Dave had spent his detention from the same teacher a week before. He had a thumb tack and carved GOD WILL GIVE ME JUSTICE in the cinder block.

no..6-8 weeks is not too long. the tone that goes numb, when it is numb, it is warm. I would be concerned about poor circulation, causing nerve damage.
What does the doctor and Physical Therapist say about the numbness? If you have not asked, please ask for your own good.

Since it is obvious that you do not have a clue about obedience training, your services should be for free. You cannot train even an adult dog for 8 hours a day. About the most that can be done at any one time is 10 - 20 minutes and that is with an adult dog and not a puppy. The attention span on this baby is extremely short and training session should be no more than 10 minutes and twice a day. Additionally, there isn t going to be much learned if you will only be training for 5 days. Obedience training is cumulative and is done over a much longer period of at least several weeks to several months.
What you can charge is determined by your experience, reputation, and accomplishments and in a case like this, should also include guaranteed expectations. Just working with dogs over several years, is not the experience that is necessary to be a dog trainer. There are too many people who are putting that title to their name and fleecing the public. Don t be one of them.
