i worked at a summer camp this summer....for about a week before i was fired for hitting a camper. the thing that pisses me of is that no one else saw it, and the girl had nothing on her...but they fired me on the basis of her word....i'm only 19, and this is going ot look just great on furure applications.....my boss was like i'm sorry, but i have no choice but to fire you...there was no investigation or anything...and it just sucks.does this seem fair?

And if you hit a girl on the street and she called the police you would be arrested. What is your problem. Because you seem to have one. You are not denying hitting her I noticed, just that she can't prove it if her word against yours. Well then no one would ever be arrested either. When it was just the victims word against the offender. Don't think it works like that. You get arrested and the judge decides, you hit camper and camp does not want you there if there is even a possibility she is telling truth. Counselors like teachers have to look after the kids first.

Well, I think sometimes girls ask for it, but you really shouldn't hit one. And no that really wasn't quite fair at all!!. Maybe you can have the Boss spare you some slack, if you just tell him you never done something like this ,& don't ever intend to in the Future either, & could he reconsider this matter for your Future Employment Records. OK?????, sorry it happened, & luck be on your side!!!!!!!

wow that does suck.... no it doesnt seem very fair.... DID u hit the girl? to tell u the truth, your boss probably could tell if the girl was lying or not. He obviously had reason to fire you if you did hit her, he probably didnt just say so and so ur fired becasue little susie said you hit her. he probably looked into the matter and gave it thought. i doubt he just instantly fired u when he heard the story... did u get to explain ur side?

but if i was in ur shoes i would be very angry. its ur word against hers and if u were innocent unfortunately luck wasnt on ur side

Well if you hit her then you deserved it. People don't take abuse reports lightly anymore because of all of the abuse cases in the world. Even though there was no proof why would a little girl claim you hit her if you didn't? You deserve it buddy.

If you indeed did hit the girl, or anyone, you deserved to be fired. There are laws to protect people from this sort of action.

In my oppinion both people were wrong. The girl should not have been nacked, but you should have allerted somebody, not hit her.
