I am still a virgin, so when I visit the doctor she cannot check me. I feel very itchy. Could it be?

Yeast infection symptoms include a thick, chunky whitish discharge, that smells like yeast. You will also have some irritation and itchiness in your vaginal area, which can also occur on your thighs. If you feel you have a yeast infection, you need to confirm that this is what you have before you can pick up medication at the store.

The best thing that you could do right now is go to a doctor. The symtoms that some people described are correct but just because you have some of the symtoms doesn't mean you have a yeast infection. Your best bet is to go to a doctor. Preferably a gynocologist. He or she will tell you exactly what is wrong, if there is something wrong. It could just be a little irritation! Hope I helped you.

I'm not a doctor, but I don't know why she wouldn't be able to check even if you're a virgin. You should go see her though, because it could be something else. Only a doctor should tell you if its a yeast infection or not and she will let you know how to treat it. You didn't complain about any discharge or smell, so it could be a few other things, like: wearing panties not made of cotton (cotton breaths), sweat, or tight pants. Talk to your doctor or your mom or other trusted adult. Good luck!

People with yeast infection have redness and white curd-like thing coming out. Sometimes a malodorous smell is present. You may have some allergic reaction to some soap or dry skin. Try a change in soap and rub some moisturizer and see what happens. If you have these things as I described above, then you should go see your doctor for a perscription of ketoconozole.
