Santana is good, and leads the league in strikeouts but liriano is better. Liriano is 8-1, santana, 9-4, and lirianio wasn't even a starter the whole season. Liriano also has a better era.

Let me ask you the question. If you were putting a team together who would you pick.? I would take Santana. Proven history. Period! remeber Chris Shelton. Something like 12 homeruns in April. Why? Because pitchers did not really know him yet. Now? I think he just hit his 16th!! Pitchers made adjustments. This is not to say that Liriano will not be a great pitcher, but, hitters will now pay more attention the scouting report on him. Santana has been around long enough for hitter to realize he is a great pitcher and he still gets the job done.

Hard one...I would like to say Santana, but I would go with Liriano if I were the GM of a team.

Depends who you are talking about Johan or Ervin both are superior to Liriano even though he is great.
