I love to go to Main Street and sit on a curb to watch the parade. Our town has a tiny triangular park directly in the center, on Main Street, with a huge fountain and lots of trees and benches. We all mix in the park afterwards and talk about our town and it's contributions to society.
Then we all go to our back yards and strike up the barbeque grill for ribs and chicken. If there are children there, the sparklers romp with the fireflies as soon as it gets dark.
I love this day. It's always warm and even if it rains a little, it's the kind of rain you can sit out under and enjoy the cooling off.
Freedom Day........for the USA. Good ole' Red White and Blue.

Love where I live - tucson - but fireworks are illegal here because they can start fires in desert states. If I could I'd go back east for July 4th where they still might be illegal, but at least they're not gonna start a huge fire.

Corpus Christi and then blowing things up with the biggest fireworks possible. Making huge bonfire and throwing bottle rockets into it is also fun because you never know which way they'll go

I love to camp out by water, river, pond, ocean and grill food and spend time with my loved ones. Oh yeah, it isn't America's birthday without watermelon and fireworks.
