We're defined by abnormality.
Sanity is like any other platonic Ideal.
which is the most far, impossible, non-existant kind of thing.
Why do we worship these concepts...

Someone who conforms to the values of the norm. This does not make them normal, it simply means that they choose to accept the values of what is considered normal.
Of course there are some things you can do that are not normal and not be considered insane, jumping on a plane tomorrow to a country you know nothing about just for a laugh isn't actually insane but its not normal, but if you decide to cross the public daylight deification line, generally the men in white coats come running.
So really society decides.

Offered model of "normality" is a legislated point from which judgment occur. That model is not fixed, but fluid, constantly changing , just matter of time...It does not indicate that we become smarter, rather that we creating new models of being normal where personages just changing positions...Those who have been proclaimed insane centuries ago, being honorably sane today and vise versa. Being normal or abnormal is relative subjectivity being objectified according to present model of right and wrong.

A person who can look out the window and say "Damn I thought I was dead. Oh well." is quite insane to me. A sane person is a person who can be who they are w/out hurting anyone but mostly not hurting themselves in the process.

thats practically an oxymoron of a question as since everyone is different, no one is the same and due to that there is no normality. So everyone is insane, and i think you can consider yourself sane as long as you can yell in realizeation that, "I'm Insane"!

Someone who acts as though the rules of civilisation matter. You can be schizophrenic paranoid and still be sane according to that definition, as long as you keep your actions within bounds.
