It is now, but I don't believe it would have had we not invaded in 2003.

But clearly, our presence there is a magnet for terrorists.

Yes Iraq is the current focal point on the war on terror and it is a fight that is better fought overseas vs at home.

However my main concern is how long we can continue to afford it, this nation is over 44 Trillion dollars in total debt and our Government is pretending to give tax cuts while it turns right around and borrows more money from overseas to pay for the huge budgets
and deficit spending, we are running our international credit card thru the roof and sooner or later it will be time to pay the bills.

We as citizens are already working about 6 months out of each year just to support our over bloated and wasteful Government and the sad part is that people these days are hardly batting an eye about it. Most homes now require 2 full time workers just to get by, our education system has slipped from the top of the list to 37th among industrialized nations, our industrial base has shrunk by over 60% and the American Dollar has lost 88% of its real value since the 1950's.

So lets go watch some more boob tube reality, everything else is just hunky dory I'd say ;).

Iraq is the battle ground for the war on the Jihad. We are not fighting Iraqis anymore. Our enemies are Jihadists from other Arabic countries such as Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and so forth. If this war was not fought here, in Iraq, we would be fighting it on our own soil, something you don't want to see

The War on Terror should be fought at the White House because that's where all this crap is coming from!

There wasnt enough of a reason for us to invade Iraq in the first place. And a war that started because we thought there were weapons of mass destruction has turned into a billion dollar no budget limit search for terrorists as if they were a country that we could wage war on or as if they were in one place were we could easily take down. So is the war being faught there? Yes it is.. But should it?.................I say no, but you should decide for yourself...

It appears the only thing we're doing in Iraq is killing and raping. Oh wait, I forgot. The American army is different from evvveerrryyyy other army in the history of the world. Ooops. Feel free to do the "isolated incidents" bit because of course they are. And the killing of over 50,000 Iraqi's? Oh right, the only people the army kills are terrorists and those that deserve it.

That's just a convenient cover up to get their oil. Do you really think the US would be there if there wasn't all that oil? We're not protecting Baghdad at all, it's chaos, just the oil fields and that little green zone to hide out in.

it's being fought there, here, and everywhere. it's such a big issue that people (outside the US) are leaning towards America for answers.
