we started dating in 2004. since then he has slept with 6 other women and lied to me several times about it. he wouldnt admit it until i showed him proof that i knew. we lived 3 hours away and i would go see him every weekend for several months. he told me he wasnt seeing anyone else & that he LOVED ME. but in reality he was dating and sleeping with other women during the week. and when i found out he told me it was none of my business. we now live together and he says he has changed. but i dont trust him. and i bring up what he has done to me all the time. when i ask him questions about the women he says i know too much about him already. he is a great help with my kids and helps financially. but i cant get over what he has done. what should i do? get over him?> or try to make it work? i cant forgive him or forget. i think about it everyday, cant get it out of my head. can a man change?

The first problem is that he is your boyfriend, not your husband. If there is no commitment through marriage, why are you surprised he's sleeping around. He is not married to you, he made no vows of fidelity, and he will never marry you because you've already sent him the message that you are willing to be his door mat, so why would he want to buy the cow when he is already getting the milk for free. By shacking up with him, you've already told him you lack self respect, so why should he respect you when you have given him permission not to. Second of all, you have mistaken him for a man. He would not make a pimple on a real man's neck. Married or not, a real man keeps his word, actual or implied, and his honesty and integrity are impecable. Third, if you love someone, married to them or not, you will do nothing which will hurt or harm them. This person cares nothing for your feelings, nor is he concerned about the chances of giving you a sexually transmitted disease from one of his "ladies on the side". Face it, he is a punk with an over inflated view of his usefullness and his value. You bought into it because maybe he or someone else convinced you that you are not able to support you and your children alone. NEWSFLASH! There are millions of women in this country who do it every day. Get up, grow up, get a backbone and a clue. If your little family makes it, it won't be because of some punk, it will be because of you. Stabilize your life and your house, and when it is strong, if you still want a mate, then you can look because you want them, not because you need them. Remember, if everything in the store is free, there is no need to bring a wallet. Marry for love not out of need.

Despite what some people say, the only way to get over someone is by going out and finding someone new. That way you start building new memories instead of dwelling on old ones.

You need to pack your stuff and get out or throw him out but, the games are over. he will cheat on you again, I guarantee it. For him to say, you know to much already means, there's alot more under the surface. To trust him is like out of your mind. Don't do it, the little money he gives you isn't worth it. And no, He will not change !!!

Cheat and lie back , what comes around goes around. If you dont want to do the lying and cheating then go on without and not give a damn anymore someone else will do it to him that he really cares about for you.
