This was all a ploy, he was told he was going to be substituted after a few minutes of the second half so he feigned injury to make himself look better. If you watch the replays you can see that he jumped into the portugese player, I,ll probably get sued now

Achilles tendon injury has put him out for 6 weeks anyway - whatever the result of the game!
