Lets be honest, who lifts up the team spirits the most, scores goals from yards out, doesn't just play for himself, and will actually score without having the most attempts??
Yes I am a Liverpool fan, but beyond that, it HAS to be Gerrard!!
Gary Neville is good, but his 31 now, the next captain needs to be good and young enough to be able to play in the next world cup!!
And anyone that says Lampard, needs to go specsavers, skying the ball does not score goals...

The next england captain is going to be a string of spagetti, talks have begun within the pasta department, and a deal is very imminent.
it will most likely be ravanetti spagetti, and it is thought he could not be much worse than the swede who had the job before him.
however talks are not yet finalised and some rumours are about that the new manager may yet be a tomato or a cucumber, and some say a certain banana is also interested.
bookmakers go 5/4 ravanetti spagetti
with tomato at 3/1 and 5/1 the others.

As a scotsman my opinion probably doesn't matter to you but here it is.... John Terry. He is young and has plenty more football in him which Neville may not have.(think more of building for 2010) He does a fantastic job every week for Chelsea and i prefer a captain at the back , to see all that goes on around and in front of him.

Here we go again!
With respect to whoever will be the next England Captain.
I think this decision should be left with the Coach. Once you start the debate the press boys - some of whom may never have played for their primary schools, will soon be saying they know best!
Maybe it is time for us all to trust the people in these positions, in order to allow them to do their jobs the way they think is best.
