Lost in a forest, I hate being boxed up! I know the forest would be frightening but at least I have a chance to survive and move around.

Well, I was lost in forest. As part of a university scientific team, we had to check on our bird traps at 6 AM. It was dark and pouring rain in Quantico Forest. Since this is the training ground for the U.S. Marines and the F.B.I., there's a heavy tree canopy so that you can bearly see the sky anyway. No footpath or defined landmarks except for the brook that divided north and south parts.
The 3 of us discussed if we should follow the brook downstream, and I said, "No, because you don't know what direction it's flowing in." We were very worried about being lost through the night (without food and only came across one blackberry bush). It took us almost 4 hours to find our way out.
Although the other team alerted the Marines that we did not report in, they searched for us on the roads! We were muddied, with stinging nettle needles in our wet clothes, one tick and aghasted! "Come on! We were IN the forest. I don't think that we'd be lost on the road with cars passing us!!" Well, still better than being stuck in a box.

I've been both stuck in a box and lost in a forest. I'll take the forest any day of the week......I am a lover of nature.
(besides, I do most of my thinking outside the box) ;)

If your stuck in a box you will eventually suffocate to death, but lost in the forest you have a chance at surviving, unless your hunted by a black bear. So i would definitely choose the forest!!

I would rather be lost in a forest. I am claustrophobic, so the box does not appeal to me at all.....and there's always a chance i'll find something to eat in the forest. Or, failing that, something would eat me and put out of my misery.
