Broadcasting careers?

I am going to school in broadcasting becuase i really enjoy it. The only thing is i really dont know what to expect in a career. I know that i dont want to get involved in the news industry. Does anyone know about saleries and jobs in areas of broadcasting other than news in the NYC area?

Use http://www.salary.com to find high, low and average salaries for any field all across the USA. I suggest using your school's Career Center to find relevant job openings, or directly contacting companies you would be interested in working for. I'll link to the Job Postings pages for some national networks, but you would probably need to start locally.
