I've been there quite a few times, and I must say that I was highly disappointed when Six Flags decided to do away with it. So many memories gone down the drain!

I did. It wasn't landscaped or themed as well as Six Flags over Texas or Fiesta Texas, but some of the rides were good. I loved the Texas Cyclone. See my source list for some tribute sites.

I went all the time! I only lived about 15 minutes from there so I ended up going every summer. The last time I went I even saw Lil Romeo and Master P. They were there with their posse hanging around.

One more reason why Houston sucks.... the closing of astroworld.
Went probably 6 times over the years it was always fun, though in recent years the park was just not being maintened well enough and grafitti was getting horrible. The newest rollercoaster they had that your feet dangled from was awesome!

it were given torn down it did not get adequate company. i imagine it really is gloomy even as they tear rides and amusment parks down. October thirty first of 2006 or something like that became there very last day open. :( I truly have under no circumstances been there yet i wanted to flow.
