I live in Maryland and swim whenever I go to the beach. I have gone swimming in Ocean City MD, Myrtle Beach SC, Palm Beach FL, even in Maine! The only beaches at which I do not swim are ones that are notoriously polluted either in the sand or water, such as Atlantic City NJ.

I know a lot of people just go to sun themselves, but I would guess at least 75% go in the water to some extent, and at least 45% swim to the point where they actually stroke the water.

Most of the time when I am at a beach at the ocean, I just play around on the beach and wade into the water. Occasionally, I will actually swim. The best place I found to swim in the ocean was in La Jolla because the water was warm and the ocean was shallow for quite a way out. I will swim if I am at a lake.

I love to swim at the beach! I don't live near one, but I like to go at least once a month!

Hell yea man, the beach is sooo much fun to swim in compared to normal pools. You can do crazy tricks with boogie boards and skim boards and surf boards and some tricks don't really require any skill either. so novices can even do them. So yea swimming at the beach = the best

is that a rhetorical question. lots of people swim at the beach. and unless you've been living on an island all your life (where you probably swam on the beach too!) you should already know this
