god yeah, they p*ss me off big time! I mean, 'perfect gift for father's day' stuff is all rock and stuff, when my dad likes classic, and 'perfect gift for mother's day' is all love songs and ballads, when my mum likes rock music. and they're just soo fu**ing stereotypical!!!!! ARGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but a toilet album..... better not let any of the people who make those things hear you say that!!! there'll be ad's all over the tv for it in a week or so if you do!!!!!!
oh and here's one: top 20 songs to kill yourself to! It'd have cr ap like westlife, which would make anyone want to die!!!!

Yes i know exactly what you mean. You can now buy so many compilations under different " Headings " a lot of the songs are duplicated anyway. I do have the d.i y cd , though . Athough some songs i want to sing along to whilst banging !! drilling and sawing aint on there !!

When a CD like that is released, it is usually to a target audience of people who think "let's be different this year and get something like this..."
Thus, mothers get motherly CDs produced on Mother's Day, fathers get the oldie pop music on CDs for Father's Day, we all get songs about rabbits at Easter, cheesy yuletide songs in time for Christmas and so on.
And this doesn't end at CDs. If only they did. Instead, we are forced to drink out of mugs saying "Best Mum", "Best Dad", or "I love Xmas" on the side, put money in novelty tin cans and receive many cards which are obviously brought out for that occasion only.
I'm waiting for a card to be sent every day. Such cards can read "Congratulations, you found a new job!", "Well done on getting your new car!", "Fantastic! You found your way out of bed!" and the classic, "Hope you had a good night's sleep. By the way, you're late for work (again)".
As long as people are spending out on these comical gifts, the companies will make them. However, the question isn't do other people get annoyed, but more who's buying it all?

Yeah, they are so annoying. There are only a few good songs on them and the rest are rubbish. And all the CDs have the same songs on them. They just recycle them over and over again. It is such blatant money grabbing. Yeah, probably they will come up with the toilet album or something stupid. It seems they'll try anything.
